MOHAN, One of the most renowned trainers in Sri Lanka and a name synonymous with motivational training.Life Skill Academy is a company involved in Total People development has offered his services to almost all segments covering length and breadth of the country. Presently works as a consultant and a trainer in psychology focusing mainly on self-motivation and soft skill development , counts over 15 years experience in service marketing holding positions at different levels and has benefited from many professional training programmes held both locally and overseas.
During the last decade has conducted well over thousand inspirational workshops for leading public and private sector institutions such as universities, high schools, government departments and authorities including Sri Lanka Army and many other corporate in Sri Lanka and overseas.
Mohan’s theoretical grounding is derived from B.A. special degree from university of Colombo Sri Lanka and holds a diploma in marketing from USA and a certified trainer of International Academy of Leadership in West Germany.

  • Resource person of “Mama Wasanawanthai” A very popular TV programme telecasted in TV derana And “HodamaEka “ with Siyatha TV with the objective of contributing towards the economic development of the country through developing and improving positive attitudes and thinking habits of the general public.
  • Key presenter of “DiriyaSihinaya” A skill building programme by derana TV with the sponsorship of Unilever Sri Lanka in order to make a positive impact in the society through development of entrepreneurship skills.
  • Serving in the panel of the resource teams of “Bihidora” by TNL and “Civil” by Siyatha TV.
  • Was panel member in “100% Youth” a programme telecast by TV Derana every Thursday from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and repeated on Fridays aiming at Sri Lankan youth to develop positive attitudes in them thus overall contribution towards the country’s economy as a result.
  • Serving as the resources person and the creator of “Athwela” an outdoor activity targeting unemployed youth with the objective of developing positive attitudes and mindset to start their career at any given point even at the extreme of self-employment rather than wasting time and energy and becoming a burden to the society and also “VismithaMathakaya” which is aimed at student seeking GCE (O/L) and (A/L) qualifications and both these programmes are organized and sponsored by TV Derana.


  • Has been involved for the last five years with an ongoing programme “STAND ON YOUR OWN FEET” specially designed for the Sri Lankan universities on his own conceptualization which is mainly funded by local donors targeting to develop life skills of university undergraduates who in turn will be more aligned, passionate and emotionally engaged to match demands of the competitive job market.
  • Currently working with universities and higher educational institutes as a guest speaker and also as a lecturer in areas related to soft skills development, Attitude and motivation.


  • Selection in 2002 to represent Sri Lanka in participation for an in- house training conducted by “International academy for leadership” at Gummerbach in Germany which covered International conflict management, Conflict prevention, Media management etc, enabled him to network internationally as individuals across 22 countries participated in this programme.
  • In the year 2003 was opportune to participate in a training intervention in Kathmandu – Nepal on the theme “Basic skills of Communication and facilitation” which gave him wide exposure and knowledge and was trained as a facilitator and a trainer by a talented international team headed by Dr. Stefan Melnik.
  • In 2005 revisited Gummersbach – Germany to participate in a programme on “The use and application of participative seminar techniques “with special emphasis on visualization.
  • Training of Trainer (TOT) in Nepal – 7 days in house programme with many representations from south East Asia in 2009.
